I was inspired to respond to the Standing Rock situation, so I painted this piece featuring the Tree of Life with the head of a Cheyenne woman. Standing on a branch of the tree are a raven and an eagle; below them in the stream are migrating salmon with seeds in their mouths from the Tree Of Life. I hope my paintings bring joy and wonder into the viewers' lives.
