Prancing Roan Mare and Seabird (that might be a Puffin) Riding on Her Back

A drawing media rendition of a large Roan Mare romping in waving spring grass with a Seabird that might be a Puffin riding on her back was inspired by a recent trip to Northern Arizona after a unusually heavy Spring rain which caused the gass to grow greener and taller than usual and the wildflowers to bloom along the road. In this mixed media piece, it's a windy night, and cool enough for horses to feel so good that they buck and prance about for no particular reason. The unlikely passenger must have spotted the mare and wanted to ride along. Where did this Seabird come from? I suppose it flew right out of the mysterious darkness of rain clouds blowing across the Southwestern desert. My passion as an artist is to bring joy and wonder into peoples lives.
